The atomic war has brought terrible and palpable consequences for the humanity and specifically for people who are economically, politically and military subjugated by the United States. Toxic particles, effects of the war and the industry, have left genetic deformities in several countries in the world, such us Afghanistan, Iraq, Mexico and Ecuador; a war that threatens to spread around the world

A recent report released by Greenpeace finds that logging in Canada’s Boreal Forest is making global warming worse by releasing greenhouse gases and reducing carbon storage. It also finds that logging makes the forest more susceptible to global warming impacts like wildfires and insect outbreaks, which in turn release more greenhouse gases. Here is a selection of some pictures that can be found in the report.

Tourism project displaces indigenous communities through bullets and machetes
The low intensity war is a reality in the southeast part of Mexico. In 2007, there were 14 violations to the land and territory rights. From which, 80 percent were perpetrated by state agents (government officials) and 20 percent made by non-state agents: groups or organizations with a particular interest that committed the infringement acts directly, with the permission of government officials.

The water shortage is the biggest
geopolitical conflict of the XXI century
It is expected that by 2025, demand for this essential element for human life will be 56% higher than the supply, and people with water could be a target of plunder.

BECAUSE OF HUMAN IRRESPONSIBILITY

Getting Run Out of Soil
Soil degradation is a problem that is advancing so quickly in Latin America that few countries have hope in reaching sustainable agriculture in the near future. Despite being a threat to the subsistence of millions of people in the area, is being ignored by governments and general population.

Environmental Policy and Underdevelopment
The success of environmental management must be based on a clear definition of objectives and priorities which must also be congruent to society’s real needs. Not to undertake any effort in this field is also a policy: the policy of doing nothing.

A Second Hydrocarbon Boom
Threatens the Peruvian Amazon
This expansion includes the unprecedented coverage of protected areas and indigenous territories, particularly areas utilized by vulnerable indigenous peoples in voluntary isolation. Nearly one-fifth of the Peruvian Amazon protected area system is covered by hydrocarbon concessions, while that figure rises to over 60% for proposed territorial reserve area for uncontacted indigenous peoples.
