Chicha Mariani, founder of “Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo”*, is already very old. She wants to be alive for meeting her granddaughter again. Let´s make it reach Clara Anahí!

Dear granddaughter:
I am your grandmother, “Chicha” Chorobik de Mariani, I am looking for you since the day that Etchecolatz Camps and his corps of soldiers killed your mother and kidnapped you from your home in calle 30 Nº 1134 in La Plata, Argentina. It was on November 24th 1976 and you were 3 months old. From that moment, your father and I looked for you, until he was also murdered.
In spite of people trying to convince me that you were killed in the shooting, I knew that you were alive. Today, there are proofs that you survived and you are in somebody´s hand. You are already 31 and your ID number would be close to 25.476.305, with which we enrolled your name. I want to ask you to look for pictures from your childhood and compare them to the one in this text.
I want to tell you that your grandfather on your father´s side was on the music and I was on the fine arts, your grandparents on your mother´s side were scientists, your mother used to love Literature and your father has a BA in Economics. They both had a great sense of solidarity and social commitment. You may have certain inclinations related to all these because, although you have been brought up in a different home, a person keeps his ancestors´ genes. Probably, there are many questions without answers in yourself.
At my more than 80 years old, I am eager for hugging you and recognizing me in your look. I want you to come to me so that this long search can result in the thing that is keeping me alive coming true: finding you.
Clara Anahí, while I am still waiting for you, I will go on looking for you.
